There are few things as powerful and motivating to a young person as knowing their purpose. Charism discernment lets your teens discover that purpose, firmly founded in their faith — and gives them a clear pathway to embracing both as adults.
Teens 14 to 20 can start the assessment process just like adults. The assessment will auto-adapt to their age, vocational status, and more, giving them a thoroughly customized, youth-centered experience. The assessment highlights the charisms each teen most likely has, in language they will resonate with.
$9 per assessment on its own.
Most of our youth programs are lifetime, so that you can invest fully without keeping one eye on the calendar. That said, we also understand that there might be budgetary concerns, which is why our most popular program is also available as a yearly subscription. Use the community that you want to invite into discernment and the level of support you would like from our team to choose your program level.

Spirit Rising gives teens a thorough understanding of identity, the theology of charisms, the process of discernment, and hearing from the Lord in prayer. This takes the assessment from a one-time activity to a life-changing learning experience.

Middle schoolers aren’t self-aware enough to self-report gifts reliably, so Stir into Flame doesn’t ask them to. It’s seven forty-five-minute sessions that teach the charisms and then helps adults learn to provide helpful feedback — with observation tools that let catechists and parents record what they see in a way that affirms and directs students towards their most likely gifts.
This curriculum is also available with modifications for Restored Order for children completing Confirmation and First Communion in second through fourth grade.

Although the tools for Catholic schools are similar to youth ministry, it is common for us to more deeply engage in support of both the adults and the students in Catholic schools.
Charism discernment workshops and discussions are a natural fit for teacher formation workshops and in-service days, and our assessment also provides helpful metrics for evaluating Catholic identity for accreditation.
Once teachers have learned about and discerned their charisms, it’s a natural fit to bring this work into the lives of students as well, whether through a specific class, campus ministry support, or grade level learning using our curriculum and assessment tool for teens.
One of our favorite services to provide for Catholic schools is faculty formation days. This is something that can be done at a single Catholic school or at a diocesan-wide event that gives teachers the opportunity to recognize and reflect on the specific gifts that they have been given to use in their classroom.
This day invites teachers to consider and appreciate the diversity of what they have been given and learn more about what they can lean on each other for in specific situations. It also allows leadership and administration to understand the gifts of their people in a way that helps them make ongoing decisions about class assignments, leadership strategy, and succession planning.
After your event, administrators will receive a comprehensive report, including the most likely charisms of your staff members, analysis of department or grade level groupings, and a holistic picture of the gifts the Holy Spirit has given to your school.
