I have been obsessed with charisms since I was 17 years old, which is also when I first discovered how little there was available to learn about charisms. I have spent the last 17 years learning about charisms through the writings of the Popes, the Catechism, early Church fathers, and the lives of the saints, as well as the instruction of the Holy Spirit through the hundreds of people He has graciously allowed me to accompany in one-on-one charism discernment.
I am humbled to get to create these charism discernment resources for a new generation of Catholics alongside my amazing team. I hope that these resources minister to your heart and help reveal where the Holy Spirit is calling you to further build the Church.
Please do note that we did not create any of these linked resources ourselves, and therefore, the inclusion of any ministry, apostolate, book, retreat, or other resource in this guide does not constitute a formal endorsement of all content, methodologies, or theological perspectives they may present.
While we have made every effort to recommend resources aligned with Catholic teaching, we encourage readers to exercise prudent discernment and consult with trusted spiritual advisors when necessary.
Many Parts Ministries is also not responsible for changes in content, personnel, or theological orientation that may occur within these recommended resources after the publication of this guide, but we would love the opportunity to update it. Please email use at [email protected] if there are any changes we should be made aware of.
This guide is offered as a pastoral resource and is not intended to replace professional psychological or medical care. Many struggles related to identity may benefit from or require professional treatment alongside spiritual support. Please consult qualified healthcare providers for issues related to mental health, addiction, or other medical concerns.
Finally, we recognize that your healing journey is deeply personal and that different approaches resonate with different individuals. If a particular recommended resource does not seem helpful for your specific situation, we encourage you to explore other pathways or consult with a parish priest or spiritual director who knows your particular circumstances.
